MY 1ST TV ROLE IS HERE📽: OVERSEAS! ! !

( New Role… New Country… So where to!? )

First of all…

*AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH*

That’s me screaming.

It hasn’t set in yet.

But it also has.

Because after sending in audition tapes.

And personal zoom calls with the writer & producer of the show.

On Jan 13 2022..

I got confirmation that…

I got the part.

That’s right.

I GOT THE PART.

For any actor… this phrase is the only phrase you look forward to saying every day of your life.

Because most of the time the most popular phrase you’re use to hearing is… “NO”

And you get quite use to those no’s.

But today…

Today there’s no no’s.

Today we celebrate.

🎉

So what’s the role?

Well the role is my favourite one yet.

I will star as the main character of an episode.

This is the second season of the show.

And I will be on episode 6.

I play a character by the name of Chanel.

This show is a show about crime.

And most of the plots are based on the true stories that have taken place in this country.

So it is quite intense.

My episode itself is quite an intense episode however nothing compared to the episode that introduced me to the show.

Watching one of the episodes for the first time actually had me stunned.

I was in complete awe of the production & the performances.

Which brings me to the subject of the phenomenal actors who make the show come completely alive.

I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t feeling challenged to be a part of this cast.

There’s no doubt that I will need to bring my A Game.

But I’m ready.

And speaking of being ready…

I was extremely ready for WHERE I’d be shooting.

I’ve never been to this country before.

Though it is on the Eastern side of my beloved ancestral country.

Ghana.

So I guess you can put two & two together that I will be filming in the motherland.

A F R I C A.

Yes.

But can you guess which country?

I’ll definitely give you a clue.

A huge clue.

If you know the flag of this country then you know where I’m headed.

If not, then Google will be your best friend.

You can thank me later for your quick geography lesson.

;)

Prior to this I had been praying constantly for work.

Especially because I was desperately in need of a healthy distraction.

To be truly honest with you…

I was so depressed at the time I heard I was being considered for this part.

I was depressed to the point where I didn’t even know if I’d go through with it.

The writer even so much as let me know it would absolutely be fine if I wanted to skip out on it.

And I must say I was tempted to.

But then I immediately reminded myself that if this is what I want to do with my life, then there was no way I could turn it down.

After all…

Life will always be happening.

And what better way to get through the dark times than by pouring yourself into your passions.

Additionally…

To act is to channel your real life’s emotions into a character.

What better time than to use the things I’ve been going through to bring a character alive.

So there you have it.

In the next few weeks I will be off to film.

Unfortunately…

The show does not premiere in the USA.

But I will make sure you see SOMETHING, of course.

As the show gains more popularity it may make its way over.

It has been nominated as well as its actors have been nominated for best TV Drama & best lead actors in the countries award shows.

So it is highly possible it will make its way over.

Especially since other African countries have began picking it up making it become a franchise show all over Africa.

Which is pretty cool.

I will do my best to VLOG this whole experience as much as I can.

Thanks for reading. I love all of you.

Confidentially,

Z.
